It started out with one of those Walgreen’s disposable cameras. It became an essential item for any grade school or summer camp day trip. It evolved into a Nikon Coolpix, which documented the majority of my awkward middle school years, Myspace-inspired mirror selfies and all. When I graduated from 8th grade, my camera did as well, and I’ve been using some form of a Nikon DSLR ever since.
Whether it’s with my iPhone or my Nikon, I am the friend who feels the need to capture moments. I’m admittedly quite a sentimental person and I love the idea of stopping time. There was something satisfying about being able to capture intangible experiences. Something I could fill photo albums with, like the ones my parents brought from Poland that I’d spend hours pouring over. The people, places and events may be gone over time, but the memory of them is alive in those photos.
While I’m self-taught, I’ve picked up knowledge and experience when it comes to photography, whether as a part of a multimedia team or as a passion when traveling. I’m always happy to add to my skill set- so don’t be afraid to reach out if interested in collaborating!
While I get my act together… enjoy some recent favorites.
